About Us

The Glenn J. Oskvarek Memorial Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Glenn J. Oskvarek — a beloved musician, friend, and lifelong supporter of the Chicago music community.

Glenn's musical journey began at St. Simon, where he first picked up his saxophone and discovered his passion for performance. From those early days, Glenn went on to refine his skill at St. Rita of Cascia High School leading him to become a fixture in Chicago’s vibrant music scene, sharing his talent with countless audiences and inspiring musicians young and old.

This foundation carries forward Glenn’s spirit by supporting music education and community programs throughout Chicago. Our mission is to empower the next generation of musicians, strengthen local music programs, and make sure that every student has access to the joy and discipline of music.

Our first project is close to the heart: supporting the music program at St. Rita High School, where Glenn’s love for music began. Through scholarships, instrument donations, and program support, we aim to give back to the place that gave Glenn his start.

We believe that music builds connection, confidence, and community, just as Glenn did in life. Through this foundation, his music lives on.
